Eye donation means donation of the cornea only. Donor cornea can be retrieved only after death within 8 hours. Cornea donation can be collected with the permission of the next of kin (NOK) or close relatives. Cornea donation is purely a voluntary act without any financial interest. (Eyes cannot be bought or sold).

Donor Cornea can be retrieved through minor surgical procedure at hospital, home or
mortuary with respect and dignity to the body.
Cornea donation after death is permissible in Islam (All religions endorse eye donation).
